Job Summary
The Technician Engineer provides high-level technical support by combining engineering principles with practical mechanical or electrical skills. You will be responsible for installing complex systems, performing advanced diagnostics, and collaborating with the engineering team to refine designs and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Perform complex installations, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs on specialized equipment.
- Testing & Validation: Conduct rigorous testing of prototypes or existing systems to ensure they meet engineering specifications and safety standards.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Identify root causes of technical failures and implement sustainable hardware or software solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain precise logs of repairs, system upgrades, and technical drawings (CAD) for future reference.
- Design Support: Assist Senior Engineers in the development phase by providing feedback on “build-ability” and practical field performance.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with diagnostic tools, power tools, and often CAD software (like AutoCAD or SolidWorks).
- Problem Solving: A strong “hands-on” aptitude with the ability to read blueprints and complex schematics.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., HVAC, Electrical, or CompTIA) are a plus.
